Author Topic: I can't start a dedicated server!  (Read 778 times)

I think it's because of the Blockland V20 update. When i looked in the folder, there wasn't a dedicated server batch file.

It should be automatically made in the position you installed Blockland. So preferably the desktop

Note: Your launcher may not be in Program Files like this tutorial says.
It is in program files.

It's wherever you install it.

Yeah but if someone skipped through instead of checking "Make Dedicated Server Shortcut" I think they would skip through the whole "Choose location to put it in" thing

It's a sad day when someone misses one of the most important parts of installing a program.

The file should be on My Desktop

copy the blockland shortcut, name it what ever you like to tell the deferenct between dedicated server and normal start up,

left click (or right click depending on your mouse settings) and click Propertys,

 then click the tab "shortcut"

then where it says target : "C:\Program Files\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe"

replace that with : "C:\Program Files\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe" -dedicated -map skylands

Ta-da dedicated server.

Not working. Nothing is. Is there maybe some way of how I can make a script to start a dedicated server then save it as a batch file? i know there is a script for the batch, but I don't remember what it is...

This happened to me before! Just re-install blockland and check the box that says "Dedicated Server Shortcuts"
