Author Topic: How to Make A Dedicated Server  (Read 2250 times)

I would like to make a dedicated server for my friends and I. I have the dedicated.bat file and I also have the Blockland Dedicated Server Icon on my desktop as well. How do I make a dedicated server? (I have already forwarded my ports)

If anyone knows how, could you tell me step by step how to run/setup a dedicated server?

1) Get all the add-ons you want. (Dedicated Servers enable all the add-ons inside of your files)
2) Run the Blockland Dedicated Server
3) ????
4) Profit.

seriously, all you need to do is press the Blockland Dedicated Server icon.
Ihen it will open a CMD, that is the server. Then you can join your server when you open the game.

I want to know this:

I launch the dedicated server out of Blockland (start game then etc.), do I need to stay in Blockland or can I exit?

Leave the black console window open

When you installed v20 it gave you an option to create a dedicated shortcut.
If you choose not to, you just need to create another shortcut, with the target ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe" -dedicated -map mapName"
Change file path to the path to your launcher, and mapName to the name of the map you want.
Alternatly you could just copy your existing shortcut and add -dedicated -map mapName to the end of the target

Didn't work, I made the shortcut with the proper path and named it BlocklandLauncher-dedicated-map Battle Arena and it just launches Blockland.
