Giant Excavator Digging for no reason from the ocean

This is a very good video edit
At first when I saw this video, I was convinced, but after looking at where he's digging and what happens to the dirt on it's way to the pile, I'm left scratching my head trying to figure out how the hell he did this. Video editing I know, but how did he get the water so nice. Actually it's probably some sort of lake but whatever.

If you look closely, the water just flows into the dirt without making small waves or anything. It just goes right through.
I know theres this trick where you take a video/pic and more part of it/all of it through another/part of another.
