Using one headphone speaker as a microphone

So I have this here headphone speaker...

(If your wondering, the other one is broken. No input or output sound)
The one im holding is the left headphone speaker. Without a surprise, when I record using this headphone speaker and then listen to it I only hear from the left speaker, the right speaker is silent.

Is there any kind of software that can make the input sound coming from the left headphone speaker act as a left and right microphone?

Wat. Speakers are reversed microphones. The polarities are reversed to take in sound, not out.

You can use it as a mic, but earbuds are better at the job. That was my first headset, actually ;D.

It already works as a microphone. But when played (ex. Audacity) it shows that the left track has sound and the right track is silent. I want to have the left headphone to act as both the left and right tracks or channels.

i tried doing this is a skype with earbuds a few months ago, but it was really quiet. I had to yell into it, and even then it wasn't very audible.

headphones work as a microphone if you plug them into the mic port dunkass
see if you can record in mono, if you're only using it to talk with your bros and not singing or anything it'll work fine

Nevermind, I just found out the audio quality that it records is terrible, to much noise and I could bearly hear my voice from a foot away.
