running a dedicated server

So I'm kinda curious about all this. can i install blockland on my dedicated server and run a server without using my auth key or do i have to use my auth key before i can run a full dedi server? i wanna do a server on a different machine then the one i play on. Sorry if this is confusing.

You can use your key on as many computers as you want as long as they're all in the same house. You need to enter the key to run a dedicated server.

so since my server is located down the street, i pretty much need to buy another key to use run a dedicated server there.
