tv? the television is the exact thing holding back the video game industry.
even when these consoles come out the tv will already be 5 steps behind and the consoles will already be hindered.
these new consoles are going to be flat 1080p... way way oldschool.
even he new gen of ultra high def tvs coming in a few years will gimp these consoles that very day. they can never be in sync...

I personally wouldn't doubt that it's possible to happen.

Xbox hasn't had a console release for a few years now, and the latest was really just an upgrade to allow for Kinect and such.


It would be interesting to see what these new consoles would bring to the market and how game developers will make use of what they're going to provide.

One thing concerning the new Xbox that I hope for, which I would be quite annoyed with it didn't happen, is that Xbox Original games that can be played on the 360, are also available on this new generation, and also that Xbox 360 games are compatible too.
And that gamer profiles including gamerscores transferred over.
It would sound like a very silly thing to not pass it over, and just tell everyone to forget the last 7 years of gaming and start anew.
But considering that Gamerscore and Xbox Live profiles are obviouslly compatible with both Games for Windows Live on the PC and on Microsoft Smart Phones, it wouldn't make sense to throw that out.

I think changing Xbox's would mean changing the rest of them too (not necessarily, but in order to keep them all connected)
