Author Topic: So, I just finished all 51 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist.  (Read 1348 times)

IMO Brotherhood was better. Dunno why.

Completely. The original actually strays away from the Manga and concludes early. Brotherhood was the revision that stayed far truer to the Manga and completely wrapped up the story.

I couldn't make myself watch all of brotherhood after finishing the firsts.

forget what no brotherhood is so much better than the original. It follows closer to the manga so yeah. Trust me I just finished watching both the original and brothehood last week

Also there's a new movie coming out showing in american theaters like this week and next which I'm going to try and go see

I actually didn't like it at all. Please don't kick me.

I liked both FMA and Brohood, but I still prefer the latter.

This is true.  This has probably already been stated by people, but Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood follows the manga story.  The original FMA series was produced too fast to the point where they made episodes faster than they made the manga.  They changed the story about half way through and made it worse (imo).

I watched the original FMA series while FMA:B was about 3/4ths of the way done.  After I found out by reading the manga + googling a bit that the original series didn't actually follow the manga, I was pretty disappointed.  I watched FMA:B after reading the manga and watching the original series, and I personally think it was 100x better than the "original" anime.

Definitely worth watching FMA:B if you have already watched the first series.
