Author Topic: is ~100k bricks alot for an empty town?  (Read 1016 times)

im making a town and right now the brickcount is at ~100k bricks. too many?

You have ~28,000 bricks left before you hit the limit. (128,000 bricks)

I hit 133k bricks with a full blown city, skyscrapers and all.

I'd lower brick count by creating efficient road systems, and cutting down on brick usage. Decent towns normally come around -50k to begin with.

i thought limit was officially raised to 250k due to some optimizations.

Maybe build the town before you build the border?

the town is for a city rp, so they are left blank. but the scenery is another story

Ah.
Well you should still probably get rid of some of the trees or something.

That's a really boring town, haha.

But yeah, get rid of the tree's; they bomb the brick count.

I enjoy the detail and work put into the border. It looks really nice.
But 100K bricks? Yeah, your gonna have to simplify.

Plus, a lot of the trees are hardly even visible from the empty lots anyway.
Unless I'm viewing it wrong..?

Diggy's build had well over a hundred thousand bricks and it did fine. What he did, though, is build a few different cities very far apart so that you'd be able to load sections of the build instead of all of it at once.

I'd just leave it how it is, and then simplify the border if brickcount starts to be a problem.
