Couldn't you just password your network?
Turn it off before you password it if you have to?

i dont think routers come with some kind of IM service

Password your router, turn it off then back on.

you can turn it off, password it, then change the network name to a quite humorous insult to his intelligence

i can't password my router.

i can't password my router.
Contact your parents/ISP to do this, then.

Password the network so he needs the key to access interwebs.
Pretty sure nearly all connections can do that.

turn it off and change the name, at least?

what kind of router doesn't have at least WEP security :?

i meant i don't know how, neither does my parents, and guides are like "do this and this and then wait no do this not this but this willd o this andasdansd"

Post your router model?

what model is your router?
you can usually type in some IP address into your URL bar and be presented with a username and password window; the defaults are usually something like "admin" and "password"
from there you can set a password

If you're running Windows 7, follow these steps.

1. Click this icon (left-click)
2. Select your connection and right-click it (then left-click Properties).
3. Go to the security tab on the window that opens.

You can set the password and it's encryptiontype there (suggestion: WEP key encryption).
