Author Topic: wait what happened to the massive stuffstorm about pipa/sopa/acta?  (Read 989 times)

after the bill passes, everyone just stopped talking about it :/

and i also observed taht a couple members of the community have stopped posting

:I?

Old topic, not much to say about it. Obviously nobody likes it, but there's no reason to spam threads of rage that won't do anything about it.

everyone stopped talking about it because they figured out that it didn't really do anything.

A few of them took a leave to get clean undergarments from all the pants stuffting, and the rest just got bored and went away.

Also, T3HZ3N0N, stop trying to start all kinds of pandemonium. It seems that every time you post a threat about these bills in the first place, it's a three-second terror-filled sentence of how the internet is going to disappear in one day.

im not you loving idiot, this is the first topic i made. please go actually look at my posts to see if i did before spewing blatant bullstuff about me

I made a slight mistake. Also calm your tits. You were still being an uninformed twit unsuccessfully spreading chaos and panic.

poland fought the war against acta all on their own

either ron paul will get elected and fix ndaa 2012 and acta like he said he would

or the polish prime minister will amend the treaty so that it's less gay

PIPA and SOPA were shelved. They may be under going revisions by a committee and then, possibly, brought up again on a later date. ACTA is a treaty. Nothing much you can do about that but amend it, which I think a few countries are trying to do, 'last I heard.

I guess people have just calmed down. :o

Shelved as in inactive? or not passed? I haven't been following it because it really doesn't apply to me at all

Obama signed ACTA illegally. A treaty has to be ratified by congress before the US can agree to it, but Obama went and signed it on his own.

Shelved as in inactive. As he said it probably will be changed to some degree but I forgot the reason it might not come back.

Just Google it.
