Xbox 360 HDMI screen format help.

So I got a HDMI cable for my xbox 360 and when I have it hooked up the picture looks nice but its extremely wide and cuts off a lot from both sides of the screen. When you go into the display settings its set on 1080i Widescreen and I'm unable to change it out of widescreen. Anyone know how to change it?

I'm unable to format the screen using the actual TV remote.

that's because the TV automatically sets it to widescreen and the reason you can't change the setting on the xbox is because you're running in 1920x1080 progressive
change the xbox resolution to 480i or 480p

That's normal for a CRT TV to do that.

So it looks like this happens for everyone and you're basically forced to use 420p if 1080i cuts off the sides.
