Also, what is your reasoning for not posting in the megathread? I don't often check other threads, and you get the idiots who don't know anything posting "DOANLOWD MOAR RAM LLOLOLOLOL"
Honestly the computer megathread is kind of useless.
The biggest megathreads weren't started as megathreads. They just happened to be about popular topics so they grew really fast.
Additionally, from my experience with the MLP megathread, they really suck for the people using them, because people like to jump into the thread without reading the past discussion. Pretty soon everyone is burying each other's post. The main reason people like meagthreads so much is they keep popular topics in one place so, for example, the whole front page of creativity isn't covered with 3D model topics.
If a megathread isn't staying it the front page most of the time it isn't really a megathread. Computers are kind of on the edge of deserving a megathread, but surprisingly not quite there yet because I don't see much more than one computer thread every day or two. Anyone can put "megathread" in a topic title, but megathread status has to be earned.
