Rap has died among the order of good musics -- the last survivors were the older ones like Nelly and Chamillionaire. There is no hope for Rap today.

I personally hate Lil Wayne, but I can acknowledge his talent. He's really lyrically gifted, and if you know anything about him, you'd know he doesn't write down any of his music, he freestyles everything in the studio and then works on it from there.

In terms of rap music in general, I have to either be in the mood for it, or I listen to it when I'm high.

I listen to Eminem and a few other rappers. Lil' Wayne being one of them.

Very rarely, though.

snoop dogg feat the doors riders on the storm fredreck remix ftw

These two words should not go in the same sentence. Listen to real rap.
Nonexistent

Lil Wayne is basically one of those dumb although fit people who keep bragging by posting photos of themselves topless on Facebook combined with the voice of a 14 year old choking on a bagel.

For rap in general, it's overrated, genres like Rock and Classical take more skill and effort but no, people want to see a bunch of black guys (or at least people who sound black) bragging about how their life is horrible and how they get lots of booty, money and cars 24/7.

Your ignorance is what makes this world a terrible place. You're implying that rock music takes more talent to make, you're a loving moron. Have you every tried to compose beats and rhymes that actually flow together and work? probably not because you're too busy busting the balls of the people that do. Sure, rappers who have everyone do all their work for em, forget those guys, but when you have people who are literally lyrical geniuses and composing all of their work, then you're on the same level. Just because there's no physical instruments, doesn't mean there's no talent.

loving idiot.

Yo ALP, not all people rap about stereotypical stuff like that. Its people like you who I don't bother explaing or trying to show anyone the good type. Kid CuDi raps about his Mind for the most part. I like Kid CuDi, Aslong with Ice Cube, NWA (Ice Cube wrote the majority of NWA's music so once Ice Cube left is mainly the reason NWA quit) Tupac, Biggie,
On a side note if you like classic rap.
