LMFAO at OP
Skrillex isn't dubstep OR "brostep" it's a combination of several types of house and EDM most notably fidget and electro house and he has a couple of dubstep tracks whose bass is skippy and generally the opposite of my taste in music
The thing is every guy and his brother hears Skrillex and thinks it's the best in the world and the misconception shared by people new to the genre is that he is a dubstep producer which if you haven't gotten the gist is not the case
No punctuation since I'm on my phone and it's a tad forgeted up but I'll get on in a few and link my old dub playlist and a few tracks that stand out in mind when thinking of "good" dubstep
EDIT:
My two-ish year old dubstep playlist. Generally the main appeal of it to me nowadays is the nostalgic factor, but then again I'm also tired of the same old same old in a sense. You might like it. If you can't tell, Flux Pavilion is my favorite artist and the playlist originally was a Flux mix. Also there is, if I'm not mistaken, two Skrillex tracks somewhere in there. It was before he was popular and they're a couple of his more dub-esque tracks.
I'm generally a fan of bass music, which puts me at the strange combination of liking Dubstep and Rap. Not that it's all I like, but it's generally what I enjoy the most.
Also, not that Skrillex is all bad, but his bass drops are for the most part stuff. He has some mean electro synths though.
First forty seconds of this song and
the first fifty seconds of this song aren't half bad.
