Author Topic: Camping trip/Honors class  (Read 409 times)

Alright, I'm going on a camping trip for the first time without a adult. Yay.
And also, I got into algebra 12A, is it a really hard class? I just want to know if I'm getting in over my head.

What grade level are you in?

I'm not sure how your school works, but where I go the math levels go Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calc.

Are you saying you are going to Algebra 1? If so, you should be just fine as long as you did okay in pre-algebra during your middleschool days.

If you are going to Algebra 2, you need to be certain you know all the other Algebra by heart, or that class will eat you alive.

Uhmm, not sure, but the teacher looked at me like I was going to die, because I am a slacker, but I still get good test scores.
Also, can you give me some resources I can use? Like, things I need to know if I want to not drown in work?

If you're a freshman going into Algebra 1-2, then from what I understand, you get average grades.

Some freshman (Including myself when I was one) go into Geometry right away, or if you're really ahead, Algebra 3-4.

Most slackers just go into Algebra 1 like normal

It all really depends on what you took in finished off with in middle school and if you get good grades.

But then again, you're saying it's an "honors" class? Are you just taking Honors Algebra 1? I've never heard of this "12A"

I have no idea how this operates, I think its A next level class, seeing as how most other kids got into 12b, and the teacher explained that it was harder than that. Also, I'm going from 8th into freshman.

Algebra 12A

I think it goes like this

*Class* *Grade**Level*

Algebra - Class
12 - Grade
A (Advanced) - Level

Do you really think they are going to put me in a class for advanced eighteen year olds?  Oh god I hope not.
