Author Topic: Trying to find a Chrome extension thing  (Read 1177 times)

One day, for no apparent reason, what I'm assuming was a Google Chrome extension was installed on my computer without telling me. It was this thing where when you highlight a word a little box appears. Clicking on icons in this box allowed you to search the word on Google, Twitter, Youtube, Dictionary.com and some other things. But for whatever reason this extension is no longer on my computer and I want it back. But I don't know what it's called. Any help?

It was a little test update for Chrome.
I don't know how you lost it, because mine still works

I also use Chrome, but I don't seem to have that.

I don't remember having it either.

I searched for "search" in the extensions thing web store, and the closest to what I could find is "Highlight to Search".

Ah. Is there anything similar?
edit - I searched "Highlight to Search" and there are some good things. But nothing as good as this.
Should I just give up hope and lock this?

I don't quite like it. The only reason I liked this one is because it had the several different thingies.

I thought this was a standard feature for web browsers

It would seem not.
Does anyone know what it's called so I can google it?
I think it had a name on it.

I know the extension but not the name.
Fasterfox?
FasterChrome?
I know it started with faster or something.
