My internet is running really slowly sometimes at dail-up connect speed under 1kb/s then it spikes up to 700kb/s before falling back down again. This is ridiculous and I'm thinking about complaining to my internet provider, but is there anything they can realistically do? I'd appreciate your thoughts on this, forum.

That happened to me yesterday its working fine today though..

My internet service is provided by the local power company Muscatine Power and Water. They are also the only service providers.
