What OS are you using? I think it's only for Windows Vista and up.

I don't think it works on Windows 7, only Vista

It's called 'Aero Desktop' and I'm pretty sure Vista had Aero.

Edit: If you need a screen recorder try CamStudio. It's decent quality and is free.

What version? I can check the option but nothing records and the FPS doesn't appear

Livestream Procaster has an option that lets you export your stream as an avi format video.
It works inside and outside of games.

Right click your desktop and select personalize. Then select one of the aero themes.

I have it. Maybe it requires you to have a certain graphics card or something.

If you have the new version of fraps it's there, regardless if aero is on the checkbox will still be there.
