Personally I like the recon cs-6. If you remove the muzzle barrel and attach the stock it makes a pretty effective long-range SMG.

Used to be the Maverick in my opinion, but after testing it against the new Barricade, that shoots much farther.

Also, loading the Maverick with Longshot sniper darts makes it shoot farther. It's partly the darts, not just the guns.
