Author Topic: MAC: crash on startup  (Read 655 times)

Ok, so for the past month or so, I have been haveing a sever problum with my BL, it crashes on startup. I finaly got fed up with it, and decided to post this.

Heres my systems crash log, hopefuly you can distill some information from it: http://pastebin.com/qQVBs7BX

I am attaching my launcher.log and my blockland.log files.

You signed on for this bullstuff when you bought a Macintosh.

.....

When taken out of context, thats realy annoying, heres the full quote:

"You must have OSX 10.5 or 10.6.  Version 13 was the same way.  This has not changed.  Apple has made it impossible for a single app to run on both 10.4 and 10.6 therefore you must fork over the money to upgrade.  You signed on for this bullstuff when you bought a Macintosh."

I get that it could be that I have a mac, but I find a lack of people with this problum on macs.

I am under no bed. Also deathrider stop being completely the opposite of helpful. This is how mac vs pc wars start and the person asking for help never gets their help. Arctichenry what operation system version do you have? Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion? If its anything Tiger or earlier that may be part of your problem. Also do you have any parental controls on your account/computer enabled? Some settings on there can instantaneously kill some connections.

Is your firewall on? This shouldn't crash your server, but it still can effect your ability to host.
Are your ports forwarded? You shouldn't need to forward ports for Blockland anymore and this very likely isn't was causing you problems but it can help having them forwarded.

Lastly do you get any pop-ups when it crashes? Sqlite errors, Syntax errors, bus error,  Segmentation fault or maybe others?
Does your computer realize the crash? (does the reopen window pop up)

I thought people were banned for not helping in the help section before?
Move your Add-Ons folder to somewhere else (Cut-n-paste) and run the game. Slowly copy your Add-Ons back until you find the one that appears to be causing it.
