Welp, we got a severe storm today. Heavy rain and a hell of a lot of hail. I looked out the window and when a piece of hail hit water runoff on the side of the road, the water plume blew up about 4 feet before coming back down. I got some pictures, too!
http://imgur.com/a/h8KyTThe first picture is a lot of hail that landed. I got the picture as we were driving by so it's pretty blurry. The second picture is our windshield after 7 golfball+ sized pieces of hail slammed into it. The third is another picture of landed hail, while we were stopped at the intersection in the second picture. The fourth is me holding a piece of hail.
As we were driving around, we saw things like this: smashed windshields everywhere, huge sections of road covered in leaves, tons and tons of hailstones all over, and plenty of water runoff about to flood the roads. At first the hail sounded like tiny pebbles being thrown at us, but by the time the windshield-cracking hail came down it sounded like someone was taking a hammer to our roof. My sister had her back windshield taken out completely.
Anyway, this really sucked. Luckily the house had no structural damage, which is surprising considering people were calling in about their windows being smashed.
