I can only open the developer console once on Gmod

I can only open it once on the main menu. I can still open it when I'm on a server, but after opening it only once on the menu I can never open it again on the menu until I restart the game.

edit: I can open it as much as I want, actually. But I can't open it ever again (unless I'm on a server) once I click "Find Multiplayer Game"

only solution is to open it during gameplay and then exit the server if you want it on the main menu.
