And no, there is no way around this limit

the source code controls all(but 32x cannot store as much data in one variable)

Just a fun fact: the max number of datablocks at one time 409-somthing is almost the same as the amount of Megabytes a 32 bit system is capable of using

The limit used to be either ~1024 or ~2048, before it was raised to ~4096
I'm not sure how hard it is to raise it further, but its far easier to just not download and enable every single add-on you see.
