Okay, so yes I've already read the tutorial,s, set them as read only, put them in the CORRECT place. but yet............ Still doesn't work, Squidey's texture pack.

Instead of making them read-only, put them in config/content/data/shapes, and if these folders do not exist, make them. It should work then.
I would not suggest making them read-only.
