Author Topic: TuneUp Utilities?  (Read 903 times)

Noticed this when I went to speedtest.net

Anyone ever use this? After looking at some reviews I heard its alright.
They're having a sale on it for $25 right now.

How to have an efficient computer:
  • Don't install stupid things to slow down your computer.
  • Don't do stupid things to break critical files in your computer.
  • Don't have a bunch of stupid things running at the same time unless your computer can handle it.
  • Don't get malware.

if all else fails, get better hardware.  Really most of those "fix-it-and-go-faster" programs are just money stealers for people who don't know better.  Typically those kinds of people believe that a $400 used Dell inspiron desktop from 2004 will work as fast as a top-of-the-line desktop and that "DownloadMoreRAM" works.

The only things I ever download are
  • Add-ons for BL
  • Modeling stuff

TuneUp Utilities won't make your PC any faster than it was when you got it. All it really does is un-forget all of the forget-ups people make with their computer, which you can do without TuneUp Utilities.

You're handicapped.

You have no idea what ram is do you? It's the central digital processer (Also known as "Roundabout Asrilgation Manager (RAM)) for computers and the only way to get more is to download it.

As long as you have the computer for it, fine.  But it irks me when people complain about slow performance and yet they have like 10 tabs in Chrome, Steam, Skype, and a bunch of other stupid stuff including desktop gadgets that they don't need while running on a dual-core with less than 4GB of RAM.

the joke your head etc. etc.
