I have an MP5 and Glock 18 model
they both work in-game but here are my problems
>Lighting quality is awful, part of the gun will be light gray, part dark gray
>Much too big
>Doesnt fit in hand
>Face up
>Don't know how to make materials for gun

Help would be appreciated
I have no idea why it is facing up and I don't know how to get it to fit into my hand.

You have to rotate it in the modeling program
And place the mountPoint joint right at the spot on the gun you want the hand to hold

I've tried rotating it multiple times

And I'll try the hand thing

Funny thing is the first time I did this the model was the right way.

What program are you using? Post a screenshot of your model in the program

Im using blender. Ive been flipping it around trying to "figure out the puzzle" with no luck

First off, I'm glad you brought this over to GM help.

Now, that screenshot isn't very helpful to us because that's not the gun you're using in game. I think the rotation depends on your exporter settings. Torque uses Z as the up/down axis, so if you align the gun with the Z axis being up/down, make sure you check the box in the exporter that says use Z as up/down axis. Otherwise, it's axis Y.

The other issue could be the mountpoint. If your mountpoint is rotated, it'll cause the gun to be rotated in your hand. That's probably the issue. Rotate your mountpoint, that should fix it.
