saw this video a looooong time ago but yeah this is pretty ridiculous.
Yeah, so did I, back when the video was on wimp. I just happened to remember it right now, and decided to post it here for those that had never seen it.
I don't think it's that scary really.
It's not like there's one guy controlling everything that Serco does. A big corporation like this is split into many different divisions, each with different managers. So the people controlling your traffic lights aren't necessarily the same people making nukes. Also, the U.S. could save tons of money and possibly offer better service by contracting stuff to the private sector.
EDIT: why does Australia need border patrol?
Australia needs border patrol because people from Indonesia and India try to float to Australia on boats, like people from Cuba going to Florida.
While it may not be scary, it certainly is a bit eyeopening to know that basically the whole of your world is controlled by a massively large private conglomerate. Not to mention the fact that they control nuclear armaments, which are powerful WMDs.
