Author Topic: Minecraft Server won't load? (Read 1007 times)

My first attempt at a minecraft server, I'm sure I have the right external IP and everything. I have no mods, and this is my first try, but my MC Console says this:

looks like your server is somewhere read-only

(judging from all the "failed to save" errors)

One time I coulden't find my %appdata% folder in my User Name folder so I went to folder properties and checked the radio button, Hidden. Oh, I shoulden't of done that. All my things were hidden and I had to do system restore because I was panicking alot. So now, i'm turning off Read-Only in my User's folder, k?

Stop trying to host from the Windows folder. Move the server folder to your desktop or something.

Maybe we have a 5000+ page thread specifically for Minecraft, a 300 page thread for computer help (technically it's software help), or hell maybe even try the official forums for Minecraft. No one is specially entitled to make a thread like this.
