And feathering isn't proper AA and also only does the outline. He needs AA on the whole image, Of which I have yet to find a plug-in for (Although I haven't really been looking very hard)

Paint.NET fails at anti-aliasing unless you use the line tool

...So try the line tool! Trace over the current lines on a new layer :o

I would have to remove those large outlines and retrace it then apply AA to smoothen up the smaller pixels.

>open in gimp
>filters, blur, anti-aliasing

>open in gimp
>filters, blur, anti-aliasing

It's not working

Try scaling it up, blurring, then rescaling it down.

No
No it doesn't

That works

No

Yes
Yes it does.
I find even Photoshop 7 works better with AA than Paint.NET

in GIMP, do the following:

>select the select by color tool
>click the transparent area
>go to Select > Feather selection
>Put the number 1 or whatever you feel will be right.
>Confirm (or okay or apply or whatever the forget.)
>Press delete.
>Save.

>Filters>Enhance>Antialias

^i didn't know this existed until now holy stuff.

eh, you're better off just using the blur tool with a really small brush.

'shoppy:
Scale 200% bilinear, scale 50% nearest neighbor. It's a crappy image anyways, doesn't work well with AA.

I have a plugin that can anti-alias a whole shape. I'll provide it when I get on a computer.
