We used to have a rule like that back when I was ~5-6 years old. Probably mostly because back then we only had a shared family computer.
Same, ours was shared back when I had a time limit. One of my brothers and I used to take turns on The Sims 1, still play that game lol.
About the time I got a laptop the restrictions loosened and disappeared.
