trying to create a YOUTUBE account, but since that whole google linking stuff I can't make one specifically to youtube so now I'm trying to change my name to CreamTurk3y instead of Matthew [last name] but apparently  that won't loving work. Can anyone help?

I did, but since his issue is his GMail being linked to his YouTube, the solution would be to go to a different email site, a popular one being yahoo.

You can edit your Youtube account name when you create a channel
