Author Topic: I think I've gone mad.  (Read 536 times)

So a gigantic storm just slapped my little corner of Ohio yesterday, downing several power lines and causing a freak power outage to occur. Last night, I volunteered to sleep downstairs, to keep my dog company because she was freaked out.
So I lay on the couch.
Eight hours later, I haven't slept a wink.
The darkness was absolute, the silence soul-crushing, the heat sweltering, and the couch just generally un-comfy.
Not to mention the knowledge that, at any second, my house could come roaring back to life again, which, given already the heightened paranoia from the situation, would scare me stuffless.
This roostertail of undesirable circumstances led to my laying awake all night, staring into the pitch-blackness of my living room, jumping at every foreign noise. I was slowly being driven insane.
I would likely have been fine but for the heat and the fact that I wasn't in my own bed.
So now the time is 6:45 AM. My mother is up, the sun is rising, and I'm regaining my sanity.
Anyone else from the area get a power outage?

I slept on the couch because it was too hot because the radiator was on.
Not the same but...

your mad when you compensate a triple homicide and actually plan it and begin to exitcute it only to have an epiphany and realize its not worth it.
