It would take longer to download the cache than it is to download the files at the server.
Having said that, if you were to transfer it over a separate program, it could end up faster - considering TGE's binary transfer is so slow.

Well I don't have time to prove it now. Simplest method is to get a list of add-ons I dont have, put them on my BL server and then time how long it takes to download. Then I could upload it to mediafire or some other site nd see how long it takes there, but I don't feel like doing that now. Happy now?
