yes I know, I have had it before, my key was broken last time though.

i didnt think fruityloops really required anything but a sound card.
i mean there isnt a lot of hardcore processing done when playing a track.

Okay, so any idea's on any laptops?
do you need a laptop?
what's your budget?
if you're not taking a laptop everywhere (which i doubt for you) then just go for a desktop.

im assuming youre using it for portable purposes and your budget is $400 so:

my budget is about $200 - 400 yes.
go for the one i linked then.

I might be more convinced if you gave any benefits above FL Studio's
- Minimalist interface
- Synths and effects can generate a wide variety of sounds
- Sampler
- Is a tracker

i mean there isnt a lot of hardcore processing done when playing a track.
there actually is.

- Minimalist interface this could be a bad thing too.
- Synths and effects can generate a wide variety of sounds 3rd party synths, there are quite a few of these too.
- Sampler fl studio is one.
- Is a tracker and? that's personal opinion.

there actually is.

owie

I am still using sunvox because I am used to the interface, and I don't feel like paying for FL Studio, and I don't feel like using garageband.

There's a substantial amount of processing in playing tracks. You have to remember every single sound is generated as it plays in real time.
From the simple waveform generators all the way up - a developed track will max out even a modern processor and cause artifacts in live playback.
