Author Topic: Dedicated server limited connections on windows  (Read 1310 times)

I heard you have 10 connection limit on xp and I think about the same for 7. Currently I can't afford a license for a windows server, so does that mean a blockland server will be limited to 10 connections or is this just for file sharing, remote desktop?

In windows server I can only have one connection at a time on remote desktop, the first user gets kicked off when the other one joins.

That is why you buy more cal's (client access licenses)

So should I use 7 or xp, I have a licenses for both, what can I have more players on?

If you are not going to miss any fancy ui and features, xp will use marginally less resources.

If it was possible to have no gui on windows I would, but which os has the largest connection limit xp or 7?

I already stated it's an RDP connection limit, and that's it.

Either way if there were a connection limit (Blockland doesn't hold connections to players), it would be easily changeable.
