My family pays £26 a month and we get 50 Mb/s internet, I download steam games as fast as or faster than Nickelob and we're also getting a free upgrade to 100 Mb/s fibreoptic by the end of the year because Virgin finally acquired the rights to lay their own telephone lines in Liverpool.
