In this case, yes. I dont see how theres a fanbase for robotic anime singers using fake robo voices, and how they have "personalities"
Seems creepy as hell IMO
Because they aren't fake voices, every Vocaloid utilizes samples from a real person's voice. There's a fanbase for this, just like any other franchise.
In fact, all of your posts so far indicate you didn't read the OP because
you just don't care. What I was asking is what Im supposed to do with the information in this topic, watch videos of robots singing?
It's just like any other thread, you discuss the subject. Duh.
You should assume no one did, I read the first two sections and skimmed the 500 articles on the individual robots or singers or synths or w/e, I still have no idea what the point of the topic is.
Heedicalking brought up one song in particular in the OP. Others have read it, you are lazy and
don't care. But what Im trying to figure out is why. Why do people want to listen to robotic singers instead of real people and I find it even weirder when you say stuff like "The fanbase gave him an awkward personality, a love for ice cream, and patience with MEIKO's constant beatings"
Because they like the idea of the character, their design, and their voice. People that provide their voices for a Vocaloid do not necessarily sing themselves.
So they all have their own personalities given to them by fans, so does that mean a company like buys the rights to these robots or can everyday people make their own robot songs, if so then how do they have personalities.
No, it uses the most common business model of "Make things, sell them to people." Yamaha owns the rights to Vocaloid as a whole, but other companies create them and then sell them to the public. Anybody with common sense (or who cared) would understand this from the start. I don't even understand how you managed to relate the fanbase to how Vocaloid as a whole is marketed.
Im not into this weaboo stuff so I dont get wtf is going on.
Then why are you posting if you're not into it, or the OP didn't get you into it? I would understand a post saying "Eh, not my thing," but you're making a full discussion about how you don't find it appealing.
You've been yanking your argument all over the place and don't try to keep it going in the same direction. In short,
you don't care and should stop stuffting all over my thread. You have been here on the forums longer than me, I have seen you post before, and I know for a fact you aren't an idiot and make full use of your common sense. I don't know what I did, but it's pretty clear you just don't like me and are making this discussion to annoy the piss out of me.
TL;DR: forget you, read what I said in this post. I didn't type it all for you to just skim over it.
