i dont understand why my singing range is so off the charts

when i sing to myself i can do high notes good (listen to a lot of r&b-ish stuff)

then again when i hear myself, i sound a lot deeper than i think

if you record on a phone or something you sound handicapped, thats with nearly everyone
it takes professional recording equipment to sound good on a recording, and some hand-held recorders are good for that too. dont put yourself down if you think you cant sing if you hear yourself on a phone or something.

i mean my actual voice, from what i hear, it doesn't sound that deep, but it sounds really deep recorded, and i ask my friends if i sound like that and they say yes.
