I really don't even know how to respond to this. I can't see anyone reading that and agreeing that its ok to make up disabilities to feel unique.
I am pretty sure that you mean they oppose that people use disabilities to feel unique, not that they oppose the fact that people do it.Assuming that you did indeed mean the former, it is pretty obvious. Making up a disability for yourself to feel special is pretty handicapped and pathetic.
OCD is when you need to touch the doorknob twice or else your mother will get cancer. I get these tendencies.
I lock the door 5 times at night, about 5 minutes apart, to make sure i got it. I make sure all curtains are closed and all blinders are faceing up. I have to have the heat on a mark for the nosel, etc....
What you are describing are just compulsions. I believe in order to really have OCD you need to have obsessions too. (there is "Pure Obsessions" disorder, but I can't seem to find any official "Prue Compulsions" disorder) You would need to lay awake at night thinking "If I forgot to lock the door a robber will come". You may to realize that this is an irrational worry but still can't get it out of your head.
