Should i update?

I update whenever the Windows Update logo pops up on the task bar. It's paranoia, I don't want to wait 1 hour just for 100 updates to install, and I don't want my computer to get hacked.

It is indeed legit. Got it from my school for helping them out with the rest of the adobe suite.

Update at least once a month.  Lots of nice fixes get put in, including security fixes.
