Author Topic: Anyone know how to siphon gas (NOT GASOLINE LOL)?  (Read 349 times)

So my friend bought a giant chemistry set, and we're going to make some AlGal (aluminum gallium alloy) pellets and generate stuffloads of hydrogen from water, and further make a fuel cell with the hydrogen and make some electricity.
My question is - how would I suck the hydrogen gas from one chamber in my system to another? When I google "siphon gas" I just get a bunch of tutorials on how to steal peoples' fuel.
wat do

I'm not sure how the process works, but you'll need a really, REALLY, small vacuum.

Are these chambers connected?

The container that you wish to siphon out of needs to be higher than the other container, place a tube in one container and lower the other end under the liquid line, suck on the end of the tube for a split second and drop the tube into the other container, gravity and suction should pull the liquid into the other chamber.
