I have to move the cord up/down to hear sound.
Any help?

You need new headphones. This has happened to me before. I think the wiring gets a bit disconnected somehow.

Headphones get pretty pricey sir.
Anyways there is a bad connection somewhere in the jack, you should see if they are still under warranty, if not you can fix them yourself with a soldering iron.

You're lucky it's only the headphones. My laptop's audio jack is half broken, and I can only hear one half of the sound. I can't use stereo.
