Author Topic: Lane Goodwin - Thumbs Up Cancer Patient Dies at 13  (Read 570 times)

So, I just read this story about a 13 year old boy who recently died from his life-long cancer :/

Story on Huffington Post
Facebook Page

Thumbs Up: A simple search on Google shows masses of his supporters.

:( We should get a "Thumbs Up" trend going in the Post real life pictures of yourself thread.

Dats a sad story bro.

My school did a thumbs up for this boy.
*tear

I am not trying to be offensive or mean or anything, but don't lots of people die of cancer? I have heard all about this at my school and on the news. What makes this one so special? I mean, I am still sad that this happened.

Again, I am not trying to act like a jerk. I am just curious.

You can ask that question for every death that falls into a cateogry: Self Delete, deaths via cancer, deaths in car accidents.

Why did nobody make a facebook page about Self Delete on the kids at my school? Why didn't anyone report the death from cancer of my uncle, why does nobody feel sad over every car accident that happens and kills someone?

I honestly don't know the answer. It's a good question, but I'm just going to give the kid a thumbs up before I sleep and be on my way.
