Author Topic: It seems people are being banned over more of the hidden rules than the written.  (Read 1878 times)

so

more people are getting banned because of the hidden rules

why do we have hidden rules

why does badspot only enforce them 50% of the time

why does someone get banned but someone else doesnt when doing the same thing

baddy you're loving up

Technically, all 'hidden rules' fall under this rule:

6. Think before you post

Any post that breaks the hidden rules really shouldn't be posted in the first place, whether they're against the rules or not. In fact, there might not even be hidden rules, people are just getting banned for pissing off Badspot.

And I don't see anything wrong with it. These 'rules' really don't need to be stated.

The 'hidden-rules' people are getting banned for, are violations of basic moral code/social-skills/ethics/etc.

Things like trolling and writing out page long tirades about how much you hate jews.

If these things really need to be outlined in another list of rules for you guys, maybe you don't belong on an internet forum.

I like having hidden rules that you can get banned for. It prevents people from trying to skirt around the edges of a ban. If they do something stupid they get banned.

According to the OP, comprehensive administration is some sort of myth.

a rule everyone should automatically know is common sense
but I feel like sherlock after saying that :cookieMonster:

This falls under Rule 5, I wouldn't say it's an unwritten rule.

Can't figure out who started it, don't care, banning everyone.

Because it makes dodging bans more skillful.
