Author Topic: Trying to decide on a character style for a game I'm making.  (Read 605 times)

My friends and I are making a game in which you play as a tortilla chip who beats the stuff out of midget veggies and uses their corpses to make salsa.
We're trying to decide on a character style. Number 2 looks like a straight-up NES style character, with flat colors and solid blocks.
Number 1 is essentially the same but with a pillow-shading effect..
Number 3 has a sel-out (selective outline) in which the outline matches the color.
Number 4 has a darker sel-out.
What do you guys think?

Bigger version (a bit blurry):

I like number 4.
Makes it look like he has shading.

it would be better if the tortilla chip didnt just look like a triangle, try to add some sort of things that would make it look more like a chip.

I love the voting choice, 1 2 3 3.

4 but with more detail like Momentum said.

#4 is the right amount of detail lol

I mean like not so triangle with a little more rough edges to make it look more like a tortilla chip

Make an option in game to change your skin.

This game seems gruesome. But it sounds like fun.

it's a video game, not a photo
