I mean, when I pull down the scroll bar with my mouse, it's fine. When I use my mouse wheel, it's slow, like, if I scrolled once, it'd take like 1 second to go down.

It's an old Microsoft mouse and it's wired. It's not like the old ball wheel, it's a laser though.

That would be what I refer to as brown townog.

Well depending on the OS, I know Windows 7 sometimes has this problem with brown townog ports and older mice. It's probably time for an upgrade, Windows XP is outdated and is probably, now outdone by Windows 7. Linux I know has problems with brown townog, hard to get them to install right for me with some of the mainstream Linux distributions.

I've had this problem before, too. It was fixed when I bought a new mouse at Walmart for $27. Logitech M315 Wireless, I like it.

Well I haven't used Vista much but it's probably got the same problem in Windows 7's sense.
