I was talking about the Earths axial precession being in alignment with the sun and center of the galaxy, which happens every 26,000 years.

"Omg, guys!1!! We beat the Germans in 2012".
When did we fight the Germans this year?

Again, I was talking about the Earth's AXIS being directly in line, which happens every 26,000 years. The Earth does line up with the sun and center of our galaxy once a year, but the actual axis only happens every 26,000 years.

It's the fact that it's already widely known, it's like saying "Omg, guys!1!! We beat the Germans in 2012".
That's a horrible comparison. But I do agree that this happens every year, not 26,000 years.
