Would an SSD make downloading files/loading in the servers faster or is that all CPU? Would it make Ghosting or loading bricks faster too or is that on the CPU also?

Downloading and uploading information is almost purely based on the connection you have to the server you are sending/receiving information from.

Within its bounds.

It would speed up the time it takes to open blockland by a fairly minuscule amount. An SSD is utterly useless for Blockland purposes, files will download slower than you can write to your disk so that doesn't make a difference, add-ons take a while to execute because of Torque not because of the read/write speed of your HDD, and ghosting/loading bricks is also on your download/upload speed.

Ahh okay so basically getting an SSD for BL is a no no. Alright thanks guys! The SSD wasnt just going to be for BL but I wanted to know if it would give any improvements to it.

Exclusively for BL?  God no.

A SSD would increase the boot speed of your computer and apps by a certain amount.
A SSD is not really worth it unless you have a second bigger drive to hold games, movies, etc...

I honestly notice a difference between my desktop's SSD and my laptops HDD.  Then again my laptop's HDD is at 5400 RPM and not the standard 7200 :(

I really don't notice any difference in Blockland's performance, I'll finish loading a bit before someone who joined at the same time, but it's not as drastic as say TF2
