Can't stand them.

They ate my grapes that took me years to grow.

The reason we have many cows pigs and chickens is because we breed them for food and they are profitable. If you want more lions, zebras, elephants, blue whales, then walk into a mcdonalds and ask for a Panda burger and I'm sure some entrepreneur will cash in off your demand for a Panda burger and farm those endangered animals.

It's like this is slowly becoming a bad word used to describe evil rich people or something. Panda burgers would be awesome though.

Also the reason the Neanderthal died out and not homo-sapiens is because the neanderthal didn't farm. They relied on scavenging for food and they hardly ate little to no meat and could be described as vegetarians. So winter comes and there is abundance of meat(although hard to get) and we have our tiny crops and they had nothing. Farming can be cruel, but necessary to keep us and the animal species we eat alive.

Putting it that way it shouldn't come as a shock or even be frowned upon that we kill for food. Which gives me all the more reason to disregard people like PETA. It's the foodchain, not a democracy.

Also what peta fails to understand is that every vegatable grown is good for us. In the mega-corporation world the world means nothing and they will use the cheapest fertalizers possible. In most cases petro-based fertalizer. And according to the carbon cycle our food needs to draw food from somwhere. So when you are eating corn you are getting your energy from oil which is hurts our bodies. Also we grow lots of corn which is used in almost everything which also has starch which makes people fat.  Good thing we have organic farmers markets which also sell healthy grass fed beef. So basically big buisness and healthy/safe food don't go in the same sentence.
