actually read up on all of that.
i already knew what the farlands was and had traveled to it, but that was after Beta 1.8 when fake chunks were all that occurred. some of the effects of the farlands are really seriously creepy.

Someone needs to make that ground texture into a texture pack, possibly a "Far Lands" texture pack where the distorted textures are used for regular textures.

This brings up an idea.  With this texture pack installed, what would Far Lands textures look like then?
